A religious expert once asked Jesus how to get to heaven. 

Jesus challenged him by saying he must be 'born again' (you can read this story in John chapter 3, verses 3-15). This story concludes with this invitation, "For God so loved the world that He gaveHis one and only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16.
