'Baptism is both significant and exciting. If you want to raise your child to know God, or if you are an adult who has made the life changing decision to trust Jesus, baptism is encouraged and celebrated.

Before he ascended into heaven, Jesus commanded us to "make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Mt 28:19).

Baptism symbolises our sin being washed away. It is a sign of belonging to both God and God’s people. It is a public profession of God’s grace to you in Jesus.

If you do not attend church, but you want to have something special for your child, we also do a service of thanksgiving. It is not a baptism with water and big promises. It is a celebration of God’s gift of life, and a public moment of thanks.
